How to measure the screening equipment stroke (amplitude)
The frequency and stroke (vibration amplitude) are two important parameter for the screening equipment. It is easy to get screening equipment frequency data,
because we could check the motor rotation speed, if the exciting driving device connect with motor via V belt or other belt, we could get the ratio between the
two belt wheel, then get the vibratory exciting driving device rotation speed, it is the separation machinery frequency.
For the vibration stroke (vibration amplitude), we can measure it just via pencil and paper if without any vibration detection apparatus.
First, we paste one paper or card( we call it stroke inspection card) on the side plate of screener box which is along the material flow direction, and the stroke
inspection card should be vertical with the ground, it is for vibratory screening equipment. (If check
the rectangular reciprocating gyratory screener, the stroke inspection card should be horizontal with the ground.)
Then fix one pencil on one frame which is not on the screener box, the pen point should touch the stroke inspection card.
The start up the screening equipment, the card will move along with the screening equipment vibration, the pencil will draw up the vibration path of the screening
equipment on the stroke inspection card, then close down the separation equipment and measure
the stroke, if the vibration path is one circle, measure the diameter, if it is one line, just measure the length of the line.
If the vibration stroke and vibration path are variable along the screen box, we should paste several card along the side plate of screener box with pencil, or check
several point with one paper for operation several times respectively. For example , if we check the reciprocating gyratory motion screener, we need inspect the
material feed point, the middle section of the screener box and the material discharge end point, because different have different movement path.
